Given the recent state of events in San Francisco, with all the controversy over the dispute concerning the Great Highway’s closure and other topics, I thought about bringing a breath of fresh air to our beautiful city. In this case, some old images of our grand city.
I was born in San Francisco’s Chinatown in 1952 and have lived here all my life. Through all the changes that have been brought on with the increase in population and the success of the city, I, now, hope for a sense of Esprit de Corps among San Franciscans as well as all people living in this great country.
The photographs in the following slideshow were taken by Robert Cameron, the publisher and photographer of the “Above” series of books. He passed away in 2009 at the age of 98 and left me his original films. I added the guitar part; thanks to Sound GB for providing the backing track.
